Well,
The school year is nearing an end and your first year experience in Littell Hall is following right behind.
I figured today's post would be a Thank You and some advice for your near future. Finals are a crazy time and Morgue Hours haunt us all but, that doesn't mean you have to be stressed. You can check out the Stress Free events and Midnight Breakfasts to get you through the hard times these next few weeks. Remember a nice healthy and balanced breakfast will kick start your body on the morning of your final. Getting sleep is also very important! Tests have proven that you are more likely to do better on exams when you have 8 or more hours of sleep, even when cramming.
Now on to the nitty gritty.
Tips and Tricks from those who have moved out of residence halls after a year:
-Garbage Bags are your best friend...not only for trash but, great for those items that you don't have room in a box for. Try folding your clothes and then placing them in garbage bags, it will eliminate the need for bulky boxes and luggage.
-Mop your room when done moving out...the RA won't complain about your room being dirty and you'll leave on a good note.
-Try not to leave in the afternoon if you can. Students tend to check-out from 12-3pm. You'll avoid the lines if you can adjust your time the right way.
Other than that...
Check out Cloverfield playing at the Red Dragon Theater this week. Kick back and relax a little before the rush comes at you.
Good luck on all of your finals and be safe this summer.

Music Industry...lack of innovation?
As the years have gone on, many Music Industry veterans have stated that the industry is lacking in new and upcoming creative genius. Everywhere you look on the web and television there is another band trying to copy the sounds and style of some other famous face. Many of us don't agree with the actions of musicians in the industry because it drops the sales of compact discs and music as a whole. Who will stand up and try to change it? It's a hard group to try and convince. If sales are okay with mediocre music why would we risk change? Read the full article on College News

Want a challenge?
I'm feeling kind of weird today so I suppose some strange news is in order.
Here goes...
A 13 year old from Washington inflated 213 balloons with just his nose in an hour!
I'd like to see someone in Littell take this challenge and submit a video to me to be posted on this blog.
On with the insanity...
Someone has decided to sell a coupon for a Raisin Bran flake for $300,000. I would usually give this person the moron of the day award but...I will refrain and give it to the 3 people who actually made offers.
Check it out on eBay

The torch goes out...
Torch Extinguished Twice Amid Protests
PARIS - The Olympic torch relay through Paris is not running smoothly.
Police have had to extinguish the torch and escort it onto a bus twice today, apparently to get it away from protesters. Some demonstrators were tackled and carried away, but protesters are planning further demonstrations.
The flame ran into anti-China demonstrations yesterday in London. One demonstrator nearly managed to snatch the torch away from the runner. Another tried to douse it with a fire extinguisher.
There's been heavy security for the relay in Paris. About 3,000 officers are on hand, on motorcycles, on foot and even on roller skates. The Olympic flame itself is kept in a separate container from which the torches are lit at each stop. It's to be in San Francisco Wednesday, its only scheduled stop in North America.

Sooo...You think you're smarter than a fifth grader?
You may have just what it takes to challenge one of those elementary scholars but, chimps might beat you. Tests of short memory were done to challenge the minds of chimps and overall they beat humans. The study was aimed at proving that humans are not superior in cognitive functions to every species. A five year old chimp was used for the experiment and justice was served.Read the rest of the article on ABC
