Music Industry...lack of innovation?

As the years have gone on, many Music Industry veterans have stated that the industry is lacking in new and upcoming creative genius. Everywhere you look on the web and television there is another band trying to copy the sounds and style of some other famous face. Many of us don't agree with the actions of musicians in the industry because it drops the sales of compact discs and music as a whole. Who will stand up and try to change it?
