1. Old Business:
First Program- movie, Grandma’s Boy was a success. 17 people came. *More advertising for next program!
2. Treasurer Report:
No money spent yet, still exactly $1,500. -Now putting away $50 for the FYE barbeque at the end of the year.
3. New Business:
a. Proposal for hall government-issued bottle recycling bins to raise money
b. Events/programs will be posted on Facebook
c. Proposal for caroling at local retirement homes for the winter
4. RSO Report:
a. This Saturday: Saturday Night Fever at Matteson Hall 10PM-1AM Harvest theme – Littell gets more points the more people we send
b. Monday, President training for new online system for all the governments Oct 6th: 3-5PM and Oct 7th: 2-4PM.
c. Oct 6th free Action Hero tee-shirts given out in the quad. Wear the shirts on Tuesday, October 7, which is designated as “Action Hero Day”. Also on October 7, “Coming Out Stories” will be presented in the Union Square of Hunt Union at 7pm. Faculty, staff, and students will share their stories of coming out as LGBTQQA (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered, Queer, Questioning, or Ally). Oneonta Coming Out Day will be celebrated 12-3pm on the quad on Wednesday, October 8. Visit the Residence Life Multicultural Committee’s closet and sign Open Minded Unity’s ally pledge. Celebrate the diversity Oneonta has to offer!
d. Proposal for Indian Culture Night $500-$1000 dollars from RSO for DJ, dancing, food etc; Littell Hall government voted $20.
e. Cardboard boat race Oct 19th at 5:30; Oct 15th meet for rules and regulations.
f. Rocky Horror Picture Show Oct 27th at the Ballroom
g. Oct 29th OAS is coming to our hall government meetings, *Share your ideas on how to make dining halls better!
h. Suggestions: More diet soda options, more vitamin water flavors, Milk machine is broken, etc.
i. Register for Emerging Leaders! The conference, designed to help you develop your leadership skills, is the weekend of November 7-9. For more information and an application, stop by the Office of Campus Life in Hunt Union or call 607-436-3591. *Looks great on your record!
j. Nov 11th Condom Casino Night in the Ballroom
5. Littell Hall Programs/Activities:
a. Powder Puff practice this Saturday at 2pm! Games on Oct 19th and 25th
b. Oct 15th Movie night: Beetlejuice at 9PM
c. Oct 18th Fall Fest- “Welcome Littell Hall Parents” at 3PM
d. Oct 19th DDR tournament in pit lounge at 9PM
e. Oct 22nd Movie night: Craft
f. Oct 29th Movie night: TBA *Any suggestions??
g. Oct 30th Halloween in the Halls at 6PM and Halloween Party 9PM
