THE MOST BOOKED ACT AT THE NACA NATIONAL CONVENTION, Johnny Walker is one of the hottest young comics today. Based out of Los Angeles, and a regular at the famous Hollywood Improv and Laugh Factory, Johnny performed at over 50 colleges last year and is a nine-time NACA showcase selection. He travels extensively throughout the country entertaining college students and headlining comedy clubs. Johnny blends traditional stand-up comedy with parody and original songs. Mix in improv comedy and a passionate political mind and you get an extremely talented entertainer. Johnny’s songs have been broadcast on the nationally syndicated All Comedy Radio, National Public Radio, Air America and XM Radio among others.

Eric Gansworth is a member of the Onondaga Nation who was born and raised at the Tuscarora Nation Territory in Western New York. Professor of English and Lowery Writer-in-Residence at Canisius College in Buffalo, New York, he is the author of seven books, including the novel Mending Skins, which won the PEN Oakland-Josephine Miles Award in 2006, and the collection of poems and paintings A Half-Life of Cardio-Pulmonary Function, which appeared on the National Book Critics Circle’s “Good Reads” List for Spring 2008.The reading will be followed by a reception and book signing.

¨ Catskill Mt. Ramble Day Hike to Hunter Mountain

Travel down to the Catskills for a wonderful day hike to the summit of Hunter Mt. As the second tallest peak in the Catskill range, the fire tower atop the peak affords a magnificent 360 degree view of the northern & central range. The hike follows the old road up to the ranger’s cabin and is rocky throughout with a few moderately steep sections. Participants should be in reasonable shape to enjoy this hike. You can register for the hike in the ORC with your $5.00 refundable deposit through Friday, Oct. 17th or until all spots are filled.
